Wilson family keepsakes, together with three telegrams. The last of these, dated 3 April 1912 was sent to Wilson’s parents by his wife Ory who was waiting for him at Christchurch New Zealand. Based on reports from those who had returned to Cape Evans (whose news was three months old), it reported “Last news from the South Pole Plateau Ted absolutely fit exceedingly happy Ory”.
