Description

William Frederick Kaeser (American, 1908-1987), Social Realist industrial harbor scene; oil pastel; 14 3/4" x 11 3/4"; signed and dated 1935 lower right. From Indianapolis, Kaeser was a figurative artist who exhibited at the Hoosier Salon, World's Fair in New York, and at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in the 1930s and 1940s. He was also a painter for the WPA.
