Condition Report

There are losses and wear to the title slip. There are old losses to the paper of the frontispiece, light overall staining and small areas of retouching. The paper is a less yellow colour than the catalogue illustration suggests. There are losses to the paper of the painting, several tears to the paper and some areas of retouching. There is also some brown staining, particularly along the right hand edge of the painting and along the upper and lower edges of the painting. There are three larger losses to the paper to the left part of the painting, the largest ca. 6x2 cm. The colour of the paper is less yellow than the catalogue illustration suggests. The colophones are very lightly stained. The silk mount has some stains.
