first issue of this important and early map of Texas, by one of the leading American cartographers of the day. The map marks each of the land grants, such as 'Austin & Williams's Grant', 'Beale's Grant', 'Burnet's Grant'. Panels of text include 'Remarks on Texas', 'Land Grants', and 'Rivers of Texas'.
