Oil, collage, and aluminum on canvas, sight size 33 3/4 x 27 3/4 in. (85.7 x 70.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Small paper tear and minute loss in l.r. corner.

Provenance: From the estate of Hyman Swetzoff to Mrs. Leo Marcus, to the current owner by family descent.

N.B. A sales receipt from The Swetzoff Gallery, Boston, accompanies the lot.

Condition Report

Stretcher bar mark across the top edge. Also along the bottom edge, where there are 2 small parallel tears l.c., about 1-1/2 inches long. Loss and a small tear at far l.r. corner, the loss measuring 1/4 inch diameter with the tear descending from the loss for about 1/2 inch. Another larger loss in the center where the tan paper meets the black background, the loss measuring 3/4 x 1 inch with a jagged tear extending downward for 1 inch from the loss. Generally the surface of the collaged area is fragile.
