ILLUSTRATIONS FROM THE ANALECTS AND MENCIUS
signed Zhang Hong, inscribed 'During the beginning of winter in the yiyou year (1645), in the Green Wilderness Studio, I painted this in emulation of Su Hanchen of the Song Dynasty.' Each leaf with two artist's seals, zhang hong, jun du.
Colophons by Qian Yong (1579-1844), dated Jiaqing bingzi (1816), with two seals, qian yong zhi yin, li qun; and Tong Huai, with one seal, si ming tong huai. Two collector's seals of Lin Erqing, ban jiao cao tang, ban jiao cao tang zhen cang
