NOTE

Before he brought Panda into the art world, Zhao Bandi was a painter. He was also producing works in different mediums: sculpture, installation, performance art and video. The topic of Flower came from his small installation; the key image of the picture is a flower made from Renminbi (Chinese Yuan). Zhao uses Aerosolspray-a method commonly employed in advertising industry, to paint Renminbi Flower that symbolizes the historical memory for a consumer age in China's Society today. The work lends new insight into the artist's methods by revealing new techniques for his paintings and illuminating his creative process and innovative development.
