Jade Bracelets

Jade, the most highly revered stone in Chinese history, symbolizes purity, health, wisdom, morality, dignity, and what overall seems to be all things good. Jade was first used in the context of religion during ceremonies. Over time, the religious relevance waned, but the spiritual significance remained strong.

Jade in ancient China was only worn by the royal or elite members of society, not only as a display of wealth or class, but also for its healing, rejuvenating, and protection from evil. Evident in the donning of jade bracelets, the protective qualities of jade are very much extant in the everyday lives of the Chinese.

Jade bracelets are available in many different styles and colors. Mutton jade is used to create creamy white-colored translucent bracelets. There are also bright emerald greens, dark forest greens, and lighter greens. Several jade variations are pink, yellow, red, lavender, and even blue. A rounded bangle jade bracelet can be formed out of one piece of jade, or a bracelet can be formed from many smaller jade beads.
