The portrait shows Richter wearing a wig, tie and coat. His right hand is resting on a book on a table. A collection of shells is displayed on the tabletop. In the background on the left, a curtain drawn to the side reveals part of Richter's library. On the right-hand edge of the picture, a view out of the window provides a view of Richter's garden, a baroque garden north of Leipzig's historic city centre, which belonged to the merchant and councillor. The façade of the house was modelled on Hubertusburg Castle.       (1713 Leipzig 1767). Kupferdruckplatte 18 Jhdt. mit Motiv: Portrait von Lebrecht, Fürst von Anhalt-Bernburg. Der deutsche Adelige wurde hier als Halbfigur nach links gewandt dargestellt. Auf dem Abdruck dann nach rechts gewandt. Sein Blick mustert den Betrachter. Anstelle mit einer Perücke, präsentiert er sich hier mit schulterlangem Haar. In der Hand hält L. den Kommandostab. Im Hintergrund ist links ein Berg zu erkennen, rechts eine Kriegsszene. Das Bildnis ist oval von einem Lorbeerkranz gefasst, der mit Schleifenbändern umwickelt ist. Unten vor dem Rahmen sind allerlei Attribute beigestellt. Alles ruht auf einem Sims, in den folgende Inschrift gemeißelt ist: "LEBRECHT PRINCEPS ANHALTINVS." - Lebrecht wurde in Bernburg geboren und war der Begründer einer askanischen Nebenlinie. Das Kürzel "M.B. sc." unten rechts (Abdruck dann links) am Motivrand wird von vielen Sammlungen als der Leipziger Zeichner und Stecher Martin Bernigeroth (1670-1733) angesehen. - Mit einigen dunklen Flecken, insges. gute Erhaltung.
