Stamped at the top left with a stamp from the archive of the library of the State Porcelain and Glass Factories. Lazar Markovich Khidekel - Soviet artist, designer and teacher, the first suprematist architect. Studied under M. Dobuzhinsky, M. Chagall and K. Malevich. In 1918, at the age of 14, he was admitted to the Vitebsk Folk Art School. Student of M. Chagall and M. Dobuzhinsky in watercolor class. In 1918-1919 he was a student and apprentice of El Lissitzky in his Vitebsk architectural studio. A student and follower of Kazimir Malevich, one of the founders of the avant-garde association UNOVIS, heads the UNOVIS Architectural Studio. In 1922 he graduated from the Vitebsk Institute of Art and Industry. In 1922-1928 he headed the architectural laboratory of the State Institute of Artistic Culture and the State Institute of Art History. In 1929 he graduated from the Institute of Civil Engineers in Leningrad. Since 1934 he was the head of the Lenproekt workshop.
