It is featured in a January 1979 Magazine Antiques article on Fletcher, and was likewise exhibited in the 1975 Exhibition " Portraits and Painters of the Early Champlain Valley 1800-1865" 30 x 24" The painting is accompanied by documentation and literature.

AARON DEAN FLETCHER (AMERICAN 1817-1902). THREE PORTRAITS OF THE CHASE FAMILY OF HAMPSTEAD, NEW HAMPSHIRE. Mr. Chase depicted seated in a paint decorated armchair holding a book, Mrs. Chase in a ruffled bonnet holding a small green book. Each oil on canvas, 27 x 24 inches. The boy identified on the canvas as 'I.E. Chase Ag. 6' and holding a pocket watch, 23 1/4 x 21 inches. Provenance: These portraits were traded to Roger Bacon and sold by him to the current owner.
