BRAND EINER KATHEDRALE BEI NACHT Öl auf Leinwand, auf Holz. 20,5 x 29,5 cm. In Prunkrahmen. Hohe gelb-rötlich leuchtende Flammen schlagen aus einer Kathedrale in den nächtlichen Himmel. Zahlreiche Bewohner eines Dorfes versuchen teils mit Leitern wertvolle Objekte aus dem brennenden Gebäude zu retten. Rechtsseitig mehrere Häuser des Ortes und teils zur Hilfe eilende Figuren. In der Mitte des Hintergrunds Blick auf eine weite bewohnte Landschaft, während im Vordergrund rechts an einem Gewässer zwei Figuren zur Löschung des Brandes Wasser schöpfen. (1430874) (18)
