Abstrakte Komposition des ungarischen Malers und Graphikers Vilmos Huszár (1884-1960), der Mitbegründer der niederländischen Gruppierung "De Stijl" (1917-1931) war. - Abgebildet in: "Von Kandinsky bis Tatlin. Konstruktivismus in Europa", Katalog zur gleichnamigen Ausstellung 2006 im Staatlichen Museum in Schwerin und im Kunstmuseum Bonn, S. 122 sowie im Katalog zur Ausstellung "Verschmelzendes Rosa und schwarze Spannung. Werke des osteuropäischen Konstruktivismus aus einer deutschen Privatsammlung", Winterthur 2001, S. 49. - Ferner war die Arbeit im Kunstmuseum P. Picasso in Münster 2014, in der Foundation Maeght, St. Paul de Vence "L'Abstraction en Europe" 2011 und im NAMOC, National Art Museum of China in Peking 2012 ausgestellt. - Das Blatt stammt aus der Familie des Künstlers. Es liegt eine eigenhändige Bestätigung der Autorenschaft Huszars durch die Frau des Künstlers vor (in Tinte auf einer Photographie des Blattes, verso). Ebendort mit eigenhändiger Signatur: "J. Ch. Huszar - v. d. Vilmos Huszar & Piet Klaarhamer (in the style of) (1884-1960) A red and black lacquered wooden occasional table, partly relacquered. Comparable to the colour and form scheme of the Bruynzeel boy’s bedroom, 1919, reconstructed by the Municipal Museum The Hague. One of the inspirations was a schematical study after Vincent van Gogh’s "Bedroom in Arles" (1889) analysed by H.P. Bremmer and published in a porfolio with reproductions (H.P. Bremmer, "Vincent", The Hague, 1911, ill. 19) as found in the inheritance of Huszar. On this study one can see an occasional table comparable to the here offered piece. DADA - - Huszar, Vilmos. Zwei eigenhändige Briefe und drei Original-Photographien zum Werk. Voorburg/NL bzw. ohne Ort, um 1950. Die Abzüge Silbergelatine, teils etwas später. Format der Schriftstücke ca. 16 x 21 cm bzw. 25,5 x 20,5 cm. Abzüge im Format 17,5 x 12,5 cm. Ein Brief und alle drei Abzüge mit Namensstempel von Huszar. Beide Briefe undatiert, aber dem Inhalt nach aus der Nachkriegszeit stammend. Einer adressiert an einen Mr. Stone, mit Bezug auf Berlin, gemeint ist evtl. Shephard Stone. In beiden Schriftstücken geht es - zumindest teilweise - um die marionettenartige Figur, die Huszar ca. 1920 schuf und die er ab dieser Zeit, z.B. ab Januar 1923 bei Dada-Soireen in Den Haag vorstellte. Diese Figur ist auf den drei Photos in unterschiedlicher Stellung der Arme und Beine zu sehen. Verso hat Huszar auf einem Abzug vermerkt "Mechanic dancing figure. Comp. 1920". Die Schriftstücke enthalten weitere Hinweise zur Rezeption der Figur sowie Persönliches zu gemeinsamen Bekannten. - Papierbedingt teils etwas gebräunt, Falt- und Knickspuren, die Abzüge gering angestaubt, teils minimal ausgesilbert, gut.

HUSZAR, Vilmos (Hungarian 1884 - 1960). Autograph letter, signed. Autograph letter, signed 'V Huszár', dated 'Voorburg 1920. feb. 23' and stamped "HUSZAR VOORBURG Z.H.". On the upper right a large original linocut of his vignette for De Stijl, printed by hand. One sheet of unlined paper, unfolded (!), sl. browned along the edges, with two small marginal tears and two punch holes at the left edge. With pencil annotation on the reverse: "Aangetroffen in Wendingen nr. 3 1929 (aankoop 75-)". The letter is without a greeting, but was probably sent to Hendrik Wijdeveld, the editor of Wendingen. Unrecorded.

Paul Hymans (Belgian minister of Foreign Affairs), Henry Chéron (French minister of Finance), Aristide Briand (French minister of Foreign Affairs), Philip Snowden (British minister of Finance) and Antonio Mosconi (Italian minister of Finance) (all are identified in pencil) during the Hague Conference on Reparations ('Herstelconferentie') of 1929-1930, that discussed and adopted the Young-plan, a program for settling German reparations debts.
