      Est: - €1,500

Heinrich Kralik von Mayrswalden(1897 Esslingen - 1958 ). Kirche und Brücke in England. 1936 Oil on canvas . Monogrammed and dated lower right.34 x 47 cm (13,3 x 18,5 in). Ausstellung: Württembergischer Kunstverein, Stuttgart (with the label on the stretcher). Heinrich Kralik von Mayrswalden studied at the Stuttgart Academy, where his teachers included Christian Landenberger and Heinrich Altherr. He soon found a distinctive personal style, which is best classified as New Objectivity. In 1932 he showed work at the Ulm Museum at the most important exhibition devoted to the late phase of that style in Swabia. In our painting, Kralik von Mayrswalden has brilliantly succeeded in evoking mood and atmosphere. [LB] Good overall impression. With isolated small retouchings.
