Encouraged to begin sculpting by his close friend Barbara Hepworth, her influence is evident in his work. He exhibited alongside his friend, the artist Josef Herman. Examples of his work stand on the campuses of the Universities of Stirling , Cardiff, Exeter, and Warwick; at the Margam sculpture park at Port Talbot; and in All Saints' Church, Leamington Spa.
