      (Anversa, 1566 - Nuremberg, 1623) Cristo e gli apostoli durante la tempesta nel mar di Galilea Olio su tela, cm 70X106 Inscritto sul verso in maniera indistinta. Provenienza: Roma, collezione privata Il dipinto trova analogie stilistiche con le opere di Frederik van Valckenborch (Anversa, 1566 ; Norimberga, 1623), artista fiammingo noto per i suoi paesaggi immaginari e figure di stile tardo manieriste. Il pittore lo sappiamo, infatti, in Italia, intorno al 1590 a Roma e a Venezia tra il 1590 e il 1596. L'opera in esame rivela, pur nel suo carattere prettamente fiammingo, suggestioni italianizzanti e tintorettesche. Un confronto possibile è con la tela raffigurante il Naufragio di San Paolo a Malta esitata presso la Sotheby's il 12 dicembre 1973, lotto 117 (Cfr. RKD https://rkd.nl/explore/images/57057).
