          Paul Webb (American, b. 1902). Group of two watercolor paintings featuring the Mountain Boys. One painting features a group of people and the Mountain Boys having their photo taken. Writing on the lower right of the sheet reads "1961 Paul Webb Topsheet." The other with the Mountain Boys staring at a sign reading "Trespassers Welcum" nailed to a tree next to a table with a jug and glasses with an additional sign reading "Halp Yoreself." A typed message affixed to the mat reads "Ole Jed is shore might anxious t' marry off them three daughters, ain't he?" Both signed along the lower right.

          PAUL WEBB American, 1902- "Kin We Borrow the Car After You Run this Batch Through Paw?" Signed lower right "P. Webb". Webb was a cartoonist for Esquire, LIFE, Collier's, and The Saturday Evening Post. He is most well known for his comic strip, The Mountain Boys. He was also a contracted calendar artist for Brown & Bigelow. Watercolor on illustration board, 16" x 14 1/2" sight. Framed.
