Attirbuted to Pablo Legot Marche 1598 - Cádiz 1671 Hercules and the Lion of Nemea Oil on canvas This work is very similar to the Legot's Saint John the Baptist, housed in the parish Santa María la Blanca in Los Palacios and Villafranca, made between 1631 and 1636. Hercules is the mythical founder of Cadiz, so it could have been made circa 1635, when the artist moved there on the occasion of his appointment as Fiscal Marshal of the Royal Admiralty of that city. 150.7x131.6 cm
