28in. nitro replacement chopperlump barrels (by the makers in 1993), ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2' and engraved 'BOSS & CO. 13, DOVER STREET, PICCADILLY. LONDON. W.1.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, non-selective single triggers, rolled-edge triggerguards, best fine bouquet and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 14 7/8in. well-figured replacement pistolgrip stocks and matching beavertail fore-end woods (by the makers), pistolgrip-caps, weight 6lb. 14oz., in a universal double case

Provenance: We are kindly informed by the makers that this pair of shotguns were ordered August 1901 as single-triggers with 29in. barrels by G. Robarts of the 7th Hussars.
