                      Est: $200 - $300

DIANA ROSS "THE BOSS" PROMOTIONAL STAND-UP Large cardboard advertising stand-up, approx. 39 1/2" x 60", promoting soul singer DIANA ROSS''S 1979 album "The Boss" The display substantially recreates the album''s cover artwork, with a nearly life-size color image of Ross surrounded by a stucco-painted arch, with Ross''s name at upper left and the album title at lower right. The lower edge also twice reproduces the cover artwork itself, with holes showing that copies of the album itself were to be mounted on the display, and the logo and copyright information of Motown Records appears at the bottom right corner. The display shows a large horizontal fold across the center as originally shipped, some damage to the bottom corners, and some creases and bumping overall, else very good. Acquired from the Jackson family''s 2014 bankruptcy auction, with an auction tag still attached.

                      1994 LIGIER RENAULT JS 39B FORMULE 1

Competition car, no registration Chassis No. 6, made February 23, 1994 - coming from Ligier - Eligible Euro Boss In 1993, the Ligier team was led by Cyril de Rouvre, former manager of the Larousse F1 team. This entrepreneur, after selling his business, devoted himself entirely to his passion for Formula 1. Backed by the famous Gerard Ducarouge for engineering, they retained the Renault engine and the semi-automatic gearbox developed by Williams, and the advertising contracts of Elf, Gitanes Blondes and Loto. Drivers were the Martin Brundle and Mark Blundell. The Renault engine proved very reliable and there was no engine failure through the 1993 season. It was this year that the team recorded its best results since 1986 with several podium finishes and 23 championship points, three third places, two for Blundell at Kyalami and Hockenheim and another for Brundle at Monza, the team finishing fifth in the world championship. The new RS6 engine was installed in the evolution of the JS 39, the JS 39B, as it was called for the 1994 season and enjoyed the same treatment as the Williams team. The drivers are Olivier Panis, the international champion of F3000 for 1993 and Eric Bernard, third in the same championship. The Ligier underwent some modifications for 1994 and aerodynamic improvements including a reduction in intake air pressure. Gerard Ducarouge managed the season within the means at hand, knowing that the situation of the team was quite unstable following the legal events that hit the team. However, the reliability of the engine-chassis was working well: the JS 39B placed sixth in the manufacturers' championship in 1994, with a hotly contested second place for Olivier Panis at Hockenheim. The Formula 1 car on offer from the Ligier team is fully compliant with the original and in excellent condition. It is devoid of its Renault engine, but it may be possible to obtain one from the manufacturer to put the car back on the track to participate in the hotly contested Euro Boss championship. This is one of the last of the French Formula 1 cars that one can have in any collection of racing cars.

Chinnery, Esq. Chinnery was a first-rate batsman and served as an officer with the Rifle Brigade during the Great War. This extract appeared in Flight Magazine on 8th June 1916. "News has reached England of the death at the front of H.B. Chinnery, the eldest son of the late W.M. Chinnery, the famous athlete. Born in Teddington, H.B. Chinnery was a stylish batsman and a smart field. He played for Eton against Harrow in 1894 and 1895, making scores of 75 and 64 on the latter occasion. Two years later he was given a thorough trial for Surrey, and for a few weeks he achieved much success, making 577 runs in all, with an innings of 149 against Warwickshire at Birmingham as his best score. His association with Surrey, however, was very brief. Two seasons later he turned out for Middlesex, but his matches for that county, although covering a period of four years, were few, his only innings of note being one of 100 against Gloucestershire at Lord's. Mr. Chinnery was an officer in the Rifle Brigade. His younger brother, E.F. Chinnery, of the Coldstream Guards and R.F.C. was killed while flying in an aeroplane last January."

The music pressed on each is Elvis' Legendary Performer Vol. 3 album, but that's where the similarity ends! One disc sports images of Dolly Parton, a different image on each side, while the other has a picture of an unidentified model on each side (two different pictures). Also included is a "blank" yellow disc for your own experiments!
