        Ink, color, and powdered mica woodblock print on oban sized paper. This reprint is of one of Sharaku's most famous "big head" actor prints from 1794 depicting Ichikawa Komazo II as Shiga Daishichi, dressed in sinister black kimono. The scene is from the play 'Katakiuchi noriai banashi' or 'A Medley of Tales of Revenge,' depicting the moment when he will draw his sword to murder Matsushita Mikinoshin. With artist's signature "Toshusai Sharaku ga" and Tsutaya Juzaburo publisher's seal. Approx. 9 3/4 by 14 3/4 in., 25 by 37.5 cm.
