Ivory plate concavely curved. Gilt brass frame (5.4 x 4.3 cm), damaged. Ferdinand war der älteste Sohn Kaiser Franz II. (1768-1835) und Prinzessin Maria Theresia von Neapel-Sizilien (1772-1807). 1835-1848 war er als Ferdinand I. Kaiser von Österreich. 1831 erfolgte seine Heirat mit Prinzessin Maria Anna von Savoyen (1803 Rom - 1884 Prag). Die Ehe blieb kinderlos. One of their seats was Ceský Krumlov. A portrait of her by Josef Kriehuber dated 1836 is known. Oval half-length portrait of the husband and wife. 6x5.1 cm. In gold locket frame and in rectangular frame, covered with ruby-coloured velvet, 10.7x9.5 cm. ÖSTERREICH UM 1840, rechts signiert 'Robert Theer' (Theer Robert 1808 Johannisberg - Wien 1863). Mischtechnik auf Elfenbein. Portraits eines Ehepaares. Ovales Brustbild des Mannes in blauem Rock, schwarz-rot-weiss gestreifter Weste über weissen Hemd. Brustbild der Ehefrau mit braunem Haar, weisser Haube und blauem Kleid. 6x5,1 cm.
